Support Female Entrepreneurs This Holiday Season

Women-Led Wednesday - November 27th!

It’s that lovely time of year again. The air is getting crisper by the day, the leaves have almost all fallen to the earth. And soon enough, the madness of the holiday season will be upon us. And for the second year, Cassie Abel has instituted a new shopping holiday - Women-Led Wednesday.

On Wednesday, November 27th, Women-Led Wednesday aims to close the economic gender disparity between women and men, and solely support female-founded and -led businesses. Cassie started this to support and highlight female entrepreneurs, artisans, leaders, and more, in hopes to help close the wage gap, and the leadership gap that we currently have in the United States.

One of the most important places we can create change and uplift marginalized groups is with our money. Where we choose to spend it. Where we choose not to spend it. It’s becoming increasingly important to make sure we’re being thoughtful in our financial decisions. The more we support our sisters in business, the more we can all rise, ask for more, continue to push and be confident in our worth, and create more leadership positions at the top. And let’s be honest, we all want more women in power.

So this Women-Led Wednesday, Abel is making it easy for us. She’s created a full directory of participating brands and you can search for the best gifts for your loved ones. Want some jewelry for your mom or sister? Need some outdoor equipment? Even men’s apparel? Women-Led Wednesday has got you!

If you're a female entrepreneur and would like to include your own business on this site, you still have time. You can use this link to be included in the directory.

This initiative and movement combines two of my favorite things; empowering other women and buying gifts for people. I hope that you’ll join me in working to close the gender disparity in our world.
